After 4.5 years and hundreds of dogs here each year for training and boarding, it’s time to make some BIG changes. Boarding is picking up and with the need for more space, I am building a new, first class facility for dog training and remodeling the current facility to handle the boarding, exercise and care for dogs when they stay here with us.
The new training center will be 60 by 120 feet with 6400 square feet of fully matted (.5 inch rubber)
training space and 16 foot high ceilings. There will be a nice entrance lounge with a kitchenette as well as a rest room and storage. There will be a second floor to that space to serve as a private meeting area. The entire space with be heated and air conditioned with a ground source heat pump
(geothermal) system.
The boarding kennel with be equipped with an all new system designed by Mason Kennels
As of July 14th, the builders have started the new facility and have made great progress!

  • May 7th, 2008, time to take some pictures of the old barn and list if for sale on Craig’s List.
  • June 8th, The old barn is sold and they are taking it down! It took them 3 days of work to take it apart and move it.
  • June 9th and 10th, there was a lot of work for the excavator to prepare the site for the new building.
  • June 30th, the first materials (roof trusses) are dropped off.
  • July 14th to present!, the crew shows up and construction begins!
  • July 28th and 29th; electric hook up and concrete pouring.
  • August 11th and 12th and on. They are building coils for the geothermal, putting insulation in the walls, framing rooms, building the second floor and working on the parking areas.
